English will sell 10% of the military land to earn around £ 1 billion

As explained by the Minister Fallon, the Ministry of Defence had to spend billions of pounds to maintain the house and land managed by them over the years, but in fact they are no longer used for military purposes anymore.

British Defense Ministry plans to sell 10% of the total housing fund of the army from now until 2040 to gross about 1 billion pounds.

The information was defense minister Michael Fallon brought before the Rep in London (UK).

As explained by the Minister Fallon, the Ministry of Defence had to spend billions of pounds to maintain the house and land managed by them over the years, but in fact they are no longer used for military purposes anymore.

Mr Fallon said the proceeds from the sale of land 1 billion pounds plus money saved due to less repair and maintenance of buildings not in use, will be used to purchase new equipment and supporting the work coaching and help military families have a stable life.

Currently, the fund of the Ministry of Defence land accounts for 2% of the UK land. Per year, the Ministry of Defence spent about 2.5 billion pounds for housing maintenance.
